The left sidebar groups every screen into five collapsible sections - Work, Operations, Communications, Marketing, and Account - plus a bottom tray that's always visible. Bottom tray - always visible, not customizable
The tray at the very bottom of the sidebar stays put as you scroll through the nav and can't be hidden or reordered. It contains Settings, Profile, Help (submenu with KB categories), Sign out, and the light/dark theme toggle.
Customizing the sidebar
Click 'Customize navigation' at the bottom of the main nav to enter edit mode. In edit mode you can drag items to reorder within a section, click ⭐ to pin an item to a 'Pinned' cluster at the very top of the nav (useful for your 5 most-visited pages), or click ⊘ to hide items you never use. Changes save to localStorage - your layout persists across sessions but resets if you clear browser data. Bottom tray items can't be customized.
On first login, Schedule, Customers, Quotes, Invoices, and Calls are pre-pinned to the top of the nav so your 5 most-used screens are one click away without expanding any section.
Section collapse
Each section header is a toggle - click to collapse. Collapsed sections show a count of their items so you know what's inside. All five sections start collapsed on a new account; the pinned defaults (above) cover the daily essentials. Open sections persist in localStorage.
Mobile
On phones, the sidebar collapses to a hamburger icon in the top-left. Tap it to open a slide-over drawer with the same sections. The bottom tray items (Settings, Profile, etc.) appear at the bottom of the drawer.
Press ⌘K (Mac) or Ctrl+K (Windows) anywhere in the portal to open the command palette - fast jump to any screen, customer, or invoice without touching the sidebar.
