Settings → General is intentionally narrow - it only holds the two fields that downstream features can't live without: your timezone and your business name. Everything else has its own dedicated settings page.
What's on Settings → General
- Business name - appears on the receptionist's greeting, every customer-facing email, the invoice header, and the customer portal.
- Timezone - IANA timezone (e.g. America/Phoenix). Every calendar, report, and time input interprets values in this timezone.
What moved to its own page
| Business hours | Settings → Business hours (/portal/settings/business-hours). This is a standalone page as of 2026-05-05 - not under General anymore. Set open/close times per day of week here. |
| Trade / industry | Settings → General still shows industry as a read-only field but the wizard wizard sets it at signup. Contact support to change after onboarding. |
| City / state | Part of your business address in Settings → General, used for local-SEO content framing and tax jurisdiction defaults. |
Go to Settings → Business hours (/portal/settings/business-hours). That's where you set Mon-Fri 8a-5p (or whatever your shop runs). The receptionist uses these to decide 'is the shop open right now' when booking.
Existing appointments + reports recompute against the new timezone. A 9am appointment scheduled in Phoenix that you reload after switching to Eastern shows as 12pm. Be deliberate.
